AGI's ᵣₑCouture
AGI's reCouture is founded by Isabelle Davies, Georgine Galang, and Alaina Dayao, highschool students who are committed to making a change to the world.

What is AGI's reCouture?
AGI’s reCouture is a thrift-store like initiative with all our proceeds go into supporting charities like Grace to be Born, a shelter for formerly abused girls and women; as well as struggling animal shelters.
Our Goal
A big part of our country’s waste is due to overconsumption of fast fashion, and AGI’s reCouture is dedicated to mitigating that. We aim to find new homes for used or unwanted items of clothing or re-purpose them so that they don’t end up in another dumpster or landfill. We hope that once our initiative expands we can soon sell onsite during farmers markets or bazaars!

Departments
At AGI's reCouture, our different departments work collaboratively to help address the issue of textile waste resulting from the rise of fast fashion. By repurposing unwanted clothes, creating awareness about the negative effects of overconsumption, and engaging with our community, we ensure that clothes do not end up in landfills and are given a longer lifespan. Our Departments are:
Marketing and Products: ensures our mission reaches the wider community by building awareness around the impact of fast fashion and highlight how reCouture is part of the solution. They are also responsible for promoting the organization’s mission and managing the development of repurposed products such as clothes, accessories, and other upcycled items. Through creative campaigns, branding, and sustainable product initiatives, the committee raises awareness about textile waste while encouraging conscious and responsible consumption.
Social Media and Creatives: spreading awareness about overconsumption, and managing the social media to engage and grow the community. They also manage the organization’s visual identity and storytelling efforts. By producing engaging content, designs, and multimedia materials, the committee amplifies the organization’s advocacy against fast fashion and inspires the community to support sustainable practices and clothing reuse.
Research: focuses on studying the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion and textile waste. Through data gathering, analysis, and community-based research, the committee provides insights that strengthen the organization’s programs, advocacy campaigns, and sustainable solutions.
